Palm Sunday at Don Bosco / Lenten Schedule / Mass Schedule

Don Bosco Church here in Makati is about the only church where my family could stay inside during mass for a whooping 75% of the time before Super T starts to get cranky and insist on going out.

We have been to a lot of churches looking for the one church where we could attend mass as a family, or well, in our case, hear the mass within church grounds at least. But Super T would just stay still inside all of these churches for just 10 minutes tops.

Don Bosco's Regular Mass Schedule

Before we found Don Bosco, Sunday mass have always been kind of a form of (too tiring) workout for Daddy A and me. Since Super T cannot be contained inside the church, (unless you want him to launch into an unending series of "soprano" shrieks) either Daddy A or I would have to run after our little ball of energy (aero and cardio workout 😂), or carry him in our arms, with him trying to escape the whole time (weight training with dynamic loading/weight 😂)

He's got these assortment of preferences on the type of indoors environment he would tolerate longer. The room should have high ceiling. Light filled. Cool. Floor to ceiling glass windows and doors if possible so the room would be bright. Not too noisy. Not too many people out front to overwhelm him. Easily able to exit at all times and run about. And so on and so forth.. sigh.

So you can imagine how profusely I was thanking God when we found Don Bosco.

It's precisely all of those things. Airconditioned. Not too big. High ceilinged, light filled chamber. With all its exterior walls being doors, its very easy to get out and let Super T run about once he gets to exhibit signs of starting a soprano concert inside the church. We always sit on the left side of the church. He loves listening (and now singing along with his own lyrics) to the choir. When he gets bored, we let him out into a semi fenced garden where he could play and run around the grass.
